This is for a girl who was once my best friend when I was younger and only about seven. She showed my a world full of laughter and dreams full of magic. Her name was Charlie. She died last autumn, (autumn 05), because the at the train station, lights flashed for a train incoming. She thought it was the one which had just arrived. Another came from behind it where she couldn't see as she went over the pedestrian crossing. Everything that was purely Charlie was ripped cruelly away in less than a second by that train.

She is in my mind's eye still, stunning auburn hair falling down her back, grey eyes bright with laughter and happiness skipping along next to me

She loved to laugh and be alive. She can no longer do either people say. But I say someone like her can never die and she is now forever immortal. This poem is for her, in memory you might say, but I say to remind, cos she's still right here, as full with lie as ever she was.

Luv,

I'll Be Your Fairytale

She is a light everlasting,

For though many would swear that light has been extinguished,

I see it burning brighter than ever before,

More perfect than ever before,

Wild, beautiful and bright.

She is like eternal autumn,

For though many would swear her winter has already come,

I see it still, so bright and colourful,

Full of dancing winds,

And soft refreshing rain.

She is like ceaseless laughter,

For though many would swear it faded away long ago,

I hear it echoing merrily still,

Full of happiness and freedom,

Full of her spirit and joy.

She is like herself, Charlie,

For though many would swear she is long gone,

I still see her in my mind’s eye,

I still know she’s right here,

Because she can never die.
