“Sonnet”
Countless dawns I have painted to please her,
The sun I have sent to shadow her steps.
I have raised up the flowers before her
The moon I have sent to sing as she slept.
I have brought storms of lightning and thunder
With streams of rain that would bring her delight.
Constellations to fill her with wonder,
And resplendent stars to adorn the night.
Her name is before me, See! ‘tis graven
Upon my palms, and I shall not forget.
She is my child, I AM her haven
Relieving the doubts and healing regrets.
She called on My name, thus we are entwined
For I abide with her, and she is Mine
