Race To The End

Race to the end

Where even doctors can’t mend

A race you don’t always want to win

And Knock every pin

It’s the race of life

When saving you was a surgeon’s knife

Ended in peculiar ways

Tell me how many more days

When your heart slows down

And the contestants’ feet steadily pound

Sometimes a disguised miracle jumps in

Sometimes ended by a bad man’s sin

Slow and steady wins the race

Often saved by heaven’s face

This is life’s competition

Always repeats with repetition

The end will come soon enough

It doesn’t matter if you’re tough

Come the end

Your life’s message will send

This is a race everyone will finish

Every life will diminish

It’s a race to the end

Where everyone will mend
