Eagle

Let my tears continue to pour
Lock away the eagle
And not let him soar

Only so much that on can take on
Before I can’t take anymore of this
The pain that won’t be gone

See this pain
Created by people
Who wouldn’t let me explain

All that I have been through
Because no one cared
Or though I needed a rescue

Do this, or take that
People expected more of me
But I only sat

I can only do so much
I’m trying to do everything
But I have lost my touch

I tell you with my watering eyes
My broken face
That I told some lies

Now I tell the truth when I say
I’m left to save myself
When my tears aren’t seen
And my cries aren’t heard
I’m better now
The eagle flew away
