Cheshire cat

a lazy grin spread across him face: crooked, a tad crazy

he scared her and with good reason

the sometimes he was there sometimes, he wasn’t

Sometimes he would leave a part of himself behind, a hand, or a sliver of eye

but he always vanished , leaving only a grin full of pointed teeth left

one day when she was talking to her mom when he showed up

she motioned for him to go away, her mom couldn’t see him

But his smile only grew, almost spilling his face in half

It seemed to come to his eyes, almost curling over them

then he jumped towards her, and grabbed her

in her place he left a changeling that continued the conversation where she left off

she tried to fight him but with no avail

he dragged her down the hole, full of bloody roots

"Welcome to the realm of the Fay, little girlie"

he said grinning his cheshire grin.
