They whisper softly, long and deep

In a vale where only vagaries sleep

Where shrieks and echoes from the birds

Can run deplete all useless words

While they promise onwards, long and deep.

-

In gentle touches, the world renowned

They utter not the slightest sound

Yet every word rings twice as clear

Than screamed behests to wakeful ear

A forgotten language, the world renowned.

-

When the silence is parted, an unspoken love

Bedights the quick of the silent alcove

Their hands still clasp in the courted noir

In a world of paltry silence before

And whisper softly, an unspoken love.
