Diamonds
Danny Dodger
In classical theatrics
Another miserable story is cast
With shadows of ballet on the walls
Flames reaching for the heavens above
The piano cords purring through the still air
A chime of laughter fluid like a silk wonderland
Then a screech of searing steam stifled the beauty
Bringing black veiled faces to a heart stopping terror
Heads twisted away and their claret tears streamed down
The vampire bride to be had collapse down the spiral staircase
With a wooden cross through her ash and bone she landed
The ashes to ashes and the dust to dust as she drifted
Through the same still air that purred differently
Her empty wedding dress sullied grayish
Black hair in a pool at the skull
Diamonds lost in the bone
