Rain falls on your face

Blood drips from your hands

Eyes so tormented

So cold

So caged

Your hands

Are not clean anymore

Your face is not fair

Your eyes

Have turned from blue

To red

Your heart is cold

You are cold

Once you wouldn’t have done this

Once you wouldn’t have

Let steel come so close to your skin

This is what you pay

For what you claim

Is rightfully yours

There is a body

Underneath you

A dark body

So much more beautiful

Than what you have become

That body had wanted freedom

That body had wanted his people and his land

To be free

If this is justice

If the man underneath you

Was not a man

But a monster

Than you are a more lowly devil

If this is justice

I don’t want your justice

If this is my past

I don’t want my past

I don’t want your blue eyes

I don’t want your pale skin

Or fair hair

I don’t want the things

That made you become a warrior

I don’t want the sword

I don’t want the gun

I want the darkness

I want the darkness
