I screamed unto the silent stars,

And ranted to the sea -

If this is all that living is,

Then life abandon me!

And death come quickly for my soul,

For now ‘tis but a blackened hole.

For I have fallen, fallen hard;

The dark deeds I have done

Have torn me from the paths I tread

Lit brightly by the sun.

Now in a deep pit with no love -

I did not just fall in - I dove.

The unredeemable I am,

Forgiveness not for such as me,

And here my life will someday end…

Still ranting to the sea.

And silent stars a world apart…

Their light a shroud now for my heart.
