When he returned today

the world had turned grey

While he still in technicolour

-

"This is most disturbing,

somewhat perturbing,

that all the world is duller"

-

said he, or words to that effect.

He pondered, only to reject,

many an hypothesis.

-

No reason, no rhyme,

but sat he, for a time,

subtle change during his remiss.

-

There he lay,

for many a day,

until he, too,

dimmed to grey.
