I laugh as you make a fool of yourself,

Trying to impress him.

I look, and wonder as you stare across the room,

Wishing the girl on his arm was you.

I watch your gaze on him, there is love

On your face, and lust in your eyes.

I notice your frequent glances,

While he will never guess.

I cry to at your hurt, thinking:

He can never be yours.

I know how you want him, more than

Anything else, and it pains me too.

I ask, What attracts you so much?

Don’t you want a girl instead?

And I listen as you say No, only

He will fill me up.

I can’t understand, but I do.

This world is messed up when what

You feel for him, I feel for you.

Unchecked, unlimited, unnoticed.

Unreturned Love.
