The Horses of Me

The golden horse flies by

Taking away my security

Carrying with it the old faith

Innocence is history

The black horse screams

While it drags away with it my knight

I’ll never see him again

Feeling pain and loosing the fight

The white horse cowers

With anxious fear untold

Though no one could ever save me

My soul has already been sold

The red horse rages

Exploding with passion and lust

Bringing with it anger and hate

Broken hearts and shattered trust

The yellow horse was happiness

But I can’t find it here

You were the one I held so close

But you are gone, my dear

The green horse watches

Through jaded eyes of envy

The years of all the lies is done

It wants its revenge on me

The blue horse cries

Through loneliness and sorrow

Silently, the tears run down

Without a hope for tomorrow

The purple horse haunts me

Only when I sleep

For when I finally wake up

I realize it was a dream

((to be continued...))
