I feel my hand press against the glass
That lies in between our souls
Impenetrable by any means
So lost in separate worlds
We die to try and make things work
Yet we know it is in vain
Nails grinds and fists pound
Against the solemn wall
It mocks our every strain
To find each other still
The lights go dim, then bright again
Shadows break in once more
Our bodies are strangled
Reaching for something
Beyond this broken door
So there we lie
Detached from the other heart
Bleeding, screaming, wishing
To reach the untouched lover
We shall forever be apart
