Who are you?

I know what you are –we all do.

Sculpted muscles

Gorgeous eyes

Maths genius

Great voice…

And an apparently sweet character.

I can’t guarantee that

You’ve never spoken a word to me.

I’ve tried to get to know you,

Yet you push me away.

I’ve only spoken to you through instant messenger…

One sided conversations, you only added … to them

You’ve given hints of course.

The message telling me to get lost

(in more vulgar language)

and listing your ‘failures.’

Hours later, the failures remained,

but you added a message to your ex.

That’s all I know of what you are:

Your birthday, your friends…

An unused phone number off by heart…

Who you are is something I’ll never know

Because you don’t want me to find out.

You’re in need of someone

But that someone

Isn’t me.

Will never be me….
