An Echo

A shadow – a reflection – an echo –;

All three lost in a glimpse.

They bring about a tide of emotions,

A wave of interpretations.

But a shadow – a reflection – an echo –

Mean nothing in the world.

- - -

Echo was tricked into existence

By those whom we call “beloved” gods.

She dreamed of walking

Hand-in-hand

With the man who intrigued reflections.

But, alas, she was shunted to one side,

Only able to feebly reflect work in darkness.

- - -

Tell me, does she exist?

If no one is around

To listen to her melodious hymns,

Then will people believe that she exists?

- - -

Echoes are lost in the dark

After they cry out for a moment.

Echoes are lost, they are farce,

After they pollute their lives.

- - -

A shadow – a reflection – an echo –;

All three lost in a glimpse.

They bring about a tide of emotions,

A wave of interpretations.

But a shadow – a reflection – an echo –

Mean nothing in the world.
