Latin Love(r)

Author's Noteu - So there's a story behind this one. Kind of. See, there was this guy, and I sort of had a crush on him. We took Latin together for four years. And he was just... funny and sweet, and all those good things. So last year, I decided to try my hand at writing a love poem. (Cringe). And this is what I came up with. I gave it to him, with a little note attached, telling him how I liked him and we should hang out some time. (in case you were wondering, it didn't work. mostly because we were graduating in a few months, and he was going away for college).

when i am sated with food
but not with you

in the midst of conjugating
latin verbs
i wonder if
i can conjugate you
you are, you were, you will be
second person to first
singular to plural
you are, i am
we will be

can you be translated?
english latin greek
you're the same in any language

translate "te amo"
and that's how I feel for you.
we exist in the future conditional
si te amo, et amas me,
quam...?

but it's the present tense
and i only want to know
one thing
amasne me?

te amo: I love(like) you
si te amo, et amas me, quam: if I love(like) you, and you love(like) me, then...?
amasne me?: do you love (like) me?
