And though you ask me, I cannot
For to describe a feeling so precious
Is to ask eternity how old it is.
These two who stand before me know
How much depth and soul one word can have
A simple term used too much in this life
But if you must know I must try
To unfold a mystery so great as this.
Love can make the stars glow in the heavens
And tear the earth apart to avoid tragedy.
It is a flame that burns in the eyes
With a rapid beat in one’s heart
But it will not be only the body’s contentment
For it passes beyond our mortal realm
Filling the soul with a shimmering joy
Leading you to your own paradise
It is the mind understanding that
The darkness is finally beginning to pass
Still I will tell you this: mere words are not enough
For the heart can still bleed when lonely
And an unfulfilled promise is one mistake
So if you find yourself deeply in love
Take a step back and cherish the moment
