Your Words

You hate them

You know you do

“It’s so cliché”

“None of it’s true”

Just stop for a second

Take awhile to think

What if their trying

To get this message across

People are dying from something

That they are trying to stop

Suicide and Abuse

War and Hunger

Poured into words

On the computer

Or into our Notebooks even.

But we call these writers emo

Attention seekers and liars

And one of these days

Their going to do

Something that they were trying to stop

They’ll write a note

With a few rhyming words

Or a poem

To get out their feelings of dread

We’ll comment

And say

“How cliché”

And maybe they’ll cry

But when they die

You don’t think about

How your words had the lasting affect

So when you flame

Or simple criticize

Put in a good comment

Not all bad

And maybe you

Can save someone

And not be their death

Maybe the truth is

We all need help

Getting back up

When we fall

We just need to know

That help is there
