Magnetism, when I eatsleepbreathe

draws me closer-deeper in-to your skin

(it's a pity our only sin was love because)

for the longest time we were straining to make ends meet, shake hands, maybe stay for coffee

even though we knew the hope was futile and the coffee was cold, anyway.

Do you ever wonder why we were given that fate–

knowing things that were ahead of our years?

(I could die smiling in your arms, but you would never let me)
