.:. A/n: This is a really bad story that I wrote in Grade 5 for my reading buddy so it is really bad… .:.
Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Rosheka. She was eight years old and lived with her family. She loved to play with her friends and never liked to do her homework.
One day, Rosheka was doing yoga with her mom when she yelled, “This is boring. I want to do something fun!” With that she ran to her bedroom and started to read her favourite book, “Cinderella.”
When the book was done, Rosheka said in her head, “I wish I had fairy godparents so I could wish to be a princess. I wish that I lived in a huge castle with pink and light blue walls, an enormous playroom and of course, a petting zoo.”
Her father entered the room and gently whispered, “Rosheka, finish your homework and get to bed.”
Rosheka replied, “Sure, Daddy”. What she wanted to say was, “If I were a princess I would never go to school and I could go to bed when ever I want!”
For the next few weeks, Rosheka drew pictures of princesses and played princess with her best friend Dhanuja. One day, when the two girls were playing, Rosheka saw a poster advertising the “Perfect Princess Contest.”
The girls read that they would have to write a song about princesses and sing it and dance to it, learn how to sew a unique princess dress that would fit them and they would have to say a speech about why they would want to be a princess. The part of the poster that caught the girls’ eyes the most was, the winning would act as the princess in the “Perfect Princess Movie.”
Shortly after, Rosheka and Dhanuja went home to ask their parents for permission to enter the contest. They took a long time to decide, but both Rosheka and Dhanuja were allowed to enter the contest.
After reading the poster again Rosheka and Dhanuja realized that the age range was from seven to fifteen years old so they would have some tough competition. They were bit nervous and they knew that they would not win but they wanted to try anyways.
Rosheka and Dhanuja both practiced sewing, dancing, singing, and they prepared their speech. At first the girls were not good at all in the subjects required. Their songs were really odd-sounding and their voices were hard to hear.
The girls carried more about the contest then their family and friends. They started to snap at everyone a lot more often. Nobody liked them anymore, not even each other. One day when Rosheka and Dhanuja asked each other for help, they refused. Then they asked others for help and everyone ignored them because they were mad. The girl realized that they got too carried away in their work. They apologized to each other and everyone else then helped each other like friends should.
Finally, the big day came. It was time for the contest to being. Rosheka and Dhanuja were so excited. Their family and friends wished them good luck.
When Rosheka heard that they were two groups of twenty-five girls competing, she yelled, “Oh, my! There are fifty people in this contest! I will never win”. Rosheka and Dhanuja were both very surprised by what Rosheka said because neither of them has ever added two of the same number before.
A smarter kid with a big attitude insulted Rosheka and Dhanuja. “Oh, wow! You little kids are smart; you can multiply by two!”
Rosheka and Dhanuja replied, “We had never been taught mul-mul-mulipling. We are in grade two, and we are not little kids. Leave us alone”.
The kid bullies again, “It is multiplying not “mulipling.” Plus you kids are way too small to win this contest. A big kid like me is going to win”.
The two second-grader girls were determined to win this contest. They realized together they could do better. They told each other their secrets of dancing, sewing, singing and speaking. They were already very good in these subjects, but now they were even better.
Rosheka and Dhanuja were put in two different groups. All fifty girls competed and struggled and everyone was head-to-head. All of the girls were outstanding and sang, danced and sewed remarkably. Rosheka was the winner of her group and Dhanuja was the winner of hers. Rosheka and Dhanuja were in the finals. Not together but as foes. It was a tough situation. Then suddenly both girls shouted, “Stop!” They both decided to give in, as neither wanted to win any more. They remembered working together and did not want lose their friendship.
The girls both got the opportunity to be in the movie but they had to decide which one of them would be in the movie. Neither of the girls wanted to be in the “Perfect Princess Movie” because they did not want to be apart from each other again. However, they both were still a famous role model for the town as they did not let a very important event in their life ruin their trust and love in each other.
The End
.:. A/n: Yeah that was really bad but remember I wrote it when I was a little kid so it is not that bad right? .:.
