Listen

I am the voice

Of the ones that can’t be heard

I seek guidance of those who are

Lost

Retreating into memories, yet

None of them I own

…Today

Rewriting the present

So the past can stay the same

Turning into gold with every

Touch, every word

I fell; could have flown

I laughed to fill the silence

I danced among the crowd

Even though I was alone

I feel nothing in my hands

As I thrust them into flames

Yet I feel the ice of winter

Freeze in my veins

Hurting when healing

Parched while drowning

I find peace in emptiness

Yet I yearn for something more

Time stops while the

Pendulum swings

How can everyone say,

What nobody means

What matters not

How many faceless die

If one still lives

To tell their tale of lies

Collapse in tears, elapsed in Time

A million minds, one heart

No figures, just a single body

A thousand souls see through empty eyes

Shh

Silence

And then…Listen

…how your heart beats in me
