Greetings all! Here is another poem from your's truly. It's a happy poem this time, and another one creative writing-born. The requirement was an a, a, b, b rhyme pattern and it must be a poem a child can grasp, but has a deeper meaning for adults. See if you can figure out what I mean...

Most Have Forgot

Listen closely dear child

I'll tell you of sights strange and mild.

Hold on tight and fear not-

I'll tell you tales most have forgot.

Of great Ziggurats gold

and heroes of old.

Pharaohs' treasure;

Sights beyond measure.

Glittering mermaids sing in a Persian bay

Whilst Japanese children sing “Ka-go-me.”

African tribes with colored masks

Grecian fish-tales of sailors' flasks.

Oh, the threads I can weave

Never shall I hide or deceive...

So hold on tight and fear not-

I'll tell you tales most have forgot.
