You look at your pictures

You see the violent movies

You listen to the songs of sex

You caress every dollar you earn

You bring women into your house

Keep them for a couple of days

And then drop them like a sack too heavy to carry

Your mother

You treat like a servant

Your sisters

You treat like slaves

And your daughters

You treat like treasures

You look at yourself in the mirror

And grin

And bask in the glory of your manhood

And that is where you fail me

You look at a book written by men

And think that it is all true

That it was meant to be that way

And that is where you fail me

You say you care

But you are like the night

Trying to quench a flame

The flame of truth

You feel that I am the moon

And you are the sun

You outshine me

But still grants me light

When there is no one to see

And that is where you fail me

You think that there is nothing greater

Than your manhood

And the power that you hold

But I’ll tell you the truth

Why

You men go out and fight and kill

Or stay in the office in work

Doing nothing but killing the Earth

We are in the hands of something greater

In us we carry life

While you carry only death

We go through pain

And the possibility of death

To bring life

And you go through pain

And almost absolute death

Of maybe not the body

But of the spirit

For death

So you say we are bringers of evil

That we are witches

Clothed in black

When it is you that wrought chaos

And us that bring peace

So we do wear black

The black of concealment

Of secrets

Of silence

Of love

Of pain

But you wear the white

Of emptiness

Of lovelessness

And death

Of liars

Of killers

Of silence breakers

And this is where the world has failed me
