The town was rather bleak and dreary. It was an overcast day and it smelt like there would be a summer storm.

‘I’ve always loved the smell of rain,’ sighed Sara to her boyfriend.

‘As have I’ murmured Jason ‘It’s as if the rain washes all the wickedness and evil away.’

The rain abruptly began to gush down from the sky.

The rain tap danced on the roof of the tin shed they were sheltering under.
‘Hey Jason, do you want to dance in the rain with me?’ asked Sara. Not even bothering to wait for a reply as she grabbed his hand and pulled him into the downpour.

They were playing around in the rain, having fun and enjoying them selves. It wasn’t long before they were completely soaked and laughing merrily as if nothing could go wrong. Ever.

’I’m bored.’ Mumbled Jason. Sara and Jason had been sitting around all morning doing the equivalent of nothing.

’Why don’t we go for a walk?’ asked Sara.

’I have a better idea!’ exclaimed Jason.

’Yeah?’

’Yeah. We can go camping! There is a great place that my father and I used to go to. There’s a beautiful river too. Although it is a little hard to get to, it’s definitely worth it.’

Jason seemed very excited as he was telling Sara. He seemed to be getting even more hyped up about it as every minute passed. His eyes were candles in a dark night. Sara just couldn’t refuse, he looked so adorable.

’OK then. Let’s pack our bags today and go camping tomorrow. How many nights?’ she enquired.

’I’m not sure. Pack for 3 nights. I’ll bring all of the gear.’

’Cool.’

’I’ll pick you up around 11ish tomorrow morning. Be ready.’

’Deal.’

As Sara packed she became excited about camping. She hadn’t done this in many years. Jason was thinking about how splendid this would be … Just Sara and Jason, doing something different that they enjoyed.

’This will be fantastic! She will get to see how rugged and manly I am.’ He assured himself.

Jason loaded all of his gear into the back of his ute and drove to Sara’s place to pick her up, where she has been patiently waiting. As soon Jason pulled up she went to greet him at the door. Jason came inside and as soon as he saw the wide smile on her face he said ‘Gosh, happy much?’ in a sarcastic but playful tone.

’No! I’m absolutely horrified at the idea of camping with the likes of you!’ she replied with a wry smile.

‘And you think that I would be happy with this? It will be positively awful going with you! You know it would be perfect if I was going with someone like me!’ joked Jason.

’Oh get over yourself and help me take my stuff to the ute!’ Sara said hastily. She wanted to be on the way to the camping grounds.

’Why should I help you?’ he asked mockingly.

’Because… You love me?’ Jason raised his eyebrows.

’Jason’ she batted her eyelashes ‘seeing as you are the most awesome person I know can you pretty please just give me a hand?’

Jason gave in and grabbed the heavier bag as Sara smiled and took the small lighter ones.

‘Thank you Loveykins’ she smiled cheekily.

’It’s alright Honeykins’ he mimicked, he knew she hated that.

Sara gave Jason an evil stare then got into the ute, slammed the door and pouted. Jason laughed and got in the drivers side. He started the car and tuned the radio to a station that was playing ‘A Whole New World’
’Ooh! This song is awesome!’ Sara exclaimed happily, forgetting her frustration.

They both sung along to the song and most of the songs that came on after that. Sara fell asleep for a while. She woke sweating like a fish.

‘Sweaty fish?!’ Sara thought aloud ‘That’s not the only thing fishy, this really stinks!’
'Yeah I agree. This has got to be one of the worst scripts they’ve ever given us to perform yet.’
