Title: Infatuation
Author: convoluted cartoon
Date written: 12/1/06

Clock awkwardly dangling there,
ticking away, I swear
I could break the clock-!
(But that wouldn’t be fair.)

Do you see that figure there,
sat down in a plastic chair?
You thought she was beautiful,
Fluorescence in her hair.

My breath falls from my lungs so bated,
background friends' words fall so slated-
look away, away, look back.
Infatuation turns so jaded.

Love is something you have to share,
it can't be just anywhere.
I wonder where yours is, while I
do nothing but stare.
