Hello, all. I'm very, very bad at poetry, but here's my shot. I wrote this a really long time ago, so please forgive extra badness.

9 / 2 / 05 (See how long ago? It's now 12 / 2 / 06!)

How the Tides Came to be

One day, the sea thought,

“Why is the shore always next to me?

The shore is always by the sea!”

So she turned and ran away

And so the tides began that day

The shore followed her as the sea ran

This went on, until she got mad

The sea then turned around again

And chased that nasty bunch of sand

The shore got scared and backed right up

Until he thought, “This has to stop!”

He began the chase again

And she ran and ran and ran...

They are still doing this to date

One to chase, the other to retaliate

So, the moral of this story must be

The shore is always by the sea

Thank you for reading my awful poetry. Wouldja like to review?
