Once upon a time there was a little girl whose parents were very poor. The girl had no siblings and didn’t talk much. One night, while her parents were in a store, sse was left alone in the cheap car their parents had. The girl looked out the window of the car and saw the street light in the parking lot. It was so bright on the cold day, she thought that maybe it would be her friend and guide her. The light answered in silence. The girl proceeded to tell the light all about her life and her worries for her family's wealth. Surprisingly, after she told the light that, the cheap car she was in turned into a beautiful large truck.

It took hours for her parents to find their car again, and when they found the truck, the girl explained the story. Her parents didn't believe and punished the girl for sneaking into such a rich car. They decided to walk home and look for in the light the next morning.

When they got home, they immediately sent the girl to bed. She went, crying to herself at the misfortune and unfairness. Even their house was very poor, and inherited by their uncle who felt sorry for the family’s wealth. Not that it was dirty, everything in their house was old and falling apart. Every stair creaked horribly when the girl ran up the thin stairs to her room.

In her bedroom stood a window beside her bed. The girl cried and cried into her threadbare pillow. Once again, the streetlight listened silently to her woes. Once again, the light slowly became the girl’s friend and her hope.

Her parents yelled up the stairs that they were going to walk to the police station and see who stole their car. The girl wished to the light that her family's dirty house was new and clean. The lamp granted this wish and instantly their house became a mansion.

The parents came home to see this and were shocked. Surely this wasn’t their house. But they found their daughter in it. She must have trespassed into it, they thought. They scolded their girl accordingly and walked along the streets. They were tired; maybe this was the wrong street.

The small family ended up sleeping on streets that night. After her parents fell asleep, the girl looked up. Above her was streetlight, and once more, the light heard the gentle cries of the girl. She asked of it to give them a blanket from the cold. The quiet light answered the wish in warmth. In the middle of the night, the mother rolled over and found the blanket. Surely her family hadn't stolen anything. She fell back asleep, thinking it a dream. The father woke up and thought the same. He went back asleep too. In the morning, a policeman came up to them and asked their names. The man answered so, and the policeman said that he found their car. Her parents were happy and jumped out of the pathetic bed with their daughter. Driving to the parking lot, the policeman showed them their beautiful truck. Of course, the parents denied it until the he showed them the papers, which had their name on them.

The family was so happy; they drove their truck all around the neighborhood twice. Then they thought, were do they live though? So they went to what they thought was their address and back to the mansion. After several painstakingly hard discoveries, they found this to be their now owned the house and yard. They had thought a miracle had come upon them. Their daughter explained one last time and finally, they believed her.

The End.
