Author’s Note: Hello! I’m back and the same as always. I’m going to have a massive updating day. All of these poems are from 9th grade, so don’t expect too much. I putting a few of them together in this chapter: Falling Star, Jinxed, and Freak.
Falling Star
Such a small, shining dot of light
That is seen only
On a cloudless night
Twinkling downward it flies free.
Oh, how I wish that little light was me.
Jinxed?
You could call me jinxed
But am I really?
Sure, I’ve been torn open
I’m bleeding inside.
For years the tears
Have stayed I cannot cry.
Sure I’ve been hurt
Wounded inside.
But tears I’ve held back
I refuse to cry.
So you could say I’m jinxed,
But I do believe I’m strong.
Freak
Wishing for someone
To call my own
To say, “I love you”
So I can respond “I love you too”
But it won’t happen.
No one loves a freak.
