Angel Dust
By: .Acid

Asphyxiate, it felt to her as all judgement lapsed,
all in that moment, a grave mishap.
An angel with paper wings took flight.

Brilliantly and brittle,
her halo shattered into sparkling angel dust.
Such a flurry,
that could instigate a most dangerous lust.

For never has an angel fallen from grace,
while still adorned in all her velvet and lace.

And all around her,
the mournful chorus of her friends sang out,
their voices fleeting high above our mortal realm,
and into heaven they all did shout.

But the angel with paper wings had taken flight,
Fluttering in the darkness in pursuit of light.

Still the pearly gates were locked,
And God's eyes were wide with shock.

You'll never learn, will you?
