Hopeless

I balance on the wire,

and think about the fall.

I lose my mind, and, slowly,

I stop feeling things at all.

Your face brought magic to my world,

your words could make me weak.

At least that’s what I said to you,

when I was still able to speak.

This past has left me hopeless,

and my heart has ceased to beat,

since love will never come again,

to sweep me off my feet.

So help me to remember,

what it means to say forever.

We can make today our day,
