Loss seems to surround,

Last year loss has been my companion,

Each aspect has great loss,

Only one birth.

A family broken,

An amazing man was buried,

After building us a windmill,

For his children, grandchildren, and grandniece.

A family torn,

Words that have stayed hidden,

All my life afraid to speak out,

Finally did and now understand torment.

A love changed,

It was lost but then reborn,

Into a friendship,

Needed to be placed on track.

A child mourned,

Death would have been inevitable,

Speeding up did not help,

Just deal with regret.

A friend gone,

He lived like no other,

Though taken away to quickly,

With no chance to say goodbye.

A person lost,

With no hope of returning,

Everything you know about her,

Is gone.

Have the touch of death,

The pang of guilt,

With loss weighing heavy on my heart,

Can't cope anymore,

Don't know if I want to.
