If I were a crayon,

Would you pick me up,

Wear me away?

Turn my life upside-down,

And rub away the best

Of me,

To add a bit of color

To your black-and-white

Life that is not a life?

Are you a wild boy?

Color outside the lines?

Best colors go first,

Broken and used

So all that is left

Are the black and the white

Which is exactly what

You started with.

So go and find

Another crayon!

Maybe a few, to make the

Picture perfect.

And leave the black and white

That is left of me…

A stub, a picture

Colored outside the lines.
