perfectly fine
words slip from my mind
& i can’t seem to get it out of
my head that you’re sleeping there
troubled.
darling, darling i promise you
it’s all alright. i promise i will
never let anything happen to you.
if it makes you happy
i’ll take on your battles, nightmares & fears.
though i’ve grown weary from my
own i’ll be able to sleep soundly if
you are in peace.
i’m bleeding from the inside.
& as long as you’re perfectly fine
i’ll be able to sleep soundly at night.
because i love you so much more
than you’ll ever know.
dear god, i’m willing to die for you.
& i’m here with tears down my face
praying that you are perfectly fine.
and you mean so much more than
what anyone will able to understand.
i’ll be the one to wipe away your tears.
(hush my darling, there’s no reason to cry)
i will be able to sleep soundly at night
with a smile upon my face
as long as you’re perfectly fine.

Author’s Note: Ok, so a band (that’s I’m slowly beginning to fall in love with) called Chiodos had major influence on this piece…mostly the very last bolded part & the lines that go ‘sleeping soundly…’ listen to their song ‘Lindsay Quit Lollygagging (Acoustic)’ & you’ll have the feeling of this better…so yeah it was inspired by that song & I’m not trying to copy them…I just haven’t be able to write lately…make me happy & review, please.
