Epilogue

Amaya sat quietly on the couch, reading, about a week after Naoya was over, when suddenly a pair of gray boxer-briefs with "NAOYA" written in black marker across the elastic fell into her lap. She looked up and there stood Michiko with her hands planted accusingly on her hips.

"Care to explain those?" She asked.

Amaya snatched them up and stuffed them into the cushions of the couch. "No." She replied defensively, almost sounding angry; so Michiko dropped the subject and went back to sorting the laundry.

As soon as she saw that Michiko’s back was turned, Amaya began to smile, thinking back on that day. However, when she realized that Naoya must have made off with the Hello Kitty underwear she had been wearing that day, she had to choke back her laughter.

Author’s Note: And the moral of the story is this: girls are bitches and they’ll sleep with your man the first chance they get (that goes double for you Secret Agent Rainbow). Peregrin Chopkins in no way condones sleeping with your best friend’s ex-boyfriend, even if it is in a moment of fleeting passion. ((points reprimandingly))

But seriously, here’s the real Author’s Note: I wrote this about a year-and-a-half ago and it’s part of a whole slew of stories my friends and I write. However, this is actually only one of a few that I wrote entirely by myself. In case anyone’s curious, Amaya and Kaname eventually got back together and lived happily ever after (to Choppy-san’s dismay, but Amaya’s creator—Night Alchemist—wouldn’t have it any other way) once it came to light that Mana Kirihara was indeed a raging lesbian. Secret Agent Rainbow would eventually marry Bono Von Bono (main character in many of the other stories, but not even mentioned in this one) a wealthy and attractive—though thoroughly overstressed—German exile, so that he could keep his citizenship in Japan: their conflicting personalities would eventually lead to the two of them being miserable and trapped in a loveless marriage. As for Naoya, he eventually drifted off into the realm of relatively forgotten lesser characters (Kaname did too, but at least he drifted happy). At present he is still in love with both Rainbow and Amaya and utterly disgusted with Bono and Kaname for getting to be with them.
