A cold wet morning

Which follows a dreary night

A painful blow with no warning

A dark but no sign of light

I'm falling slowly now

Down what seems to be

An endless pit

I can not see

And if you hear my final call

I beg of you

Try not to fall

A static on the other end

A ringing in my ear

Feels like I'm losing my only friend

We're disconnecting, our future is not clear

My voice is rising

Louder now

I don't know if you hear me

You're distant now

I can't tell if you see me

I'm crying now

You can't leave yet

Fingers unlace

hands unclasp

Life fades into time and space

My mind just can not grasp

The blood is rushing

And your spirit is gone

'Twas sleeping silently

But has given up

Body breaks

Mind escapes

Everything fades

Your body is stiff

Body heat is ice

I don't know if

I can pay this price

My hands

My feet

wildly, they flail

World shakes

Spins

Slows

And all stops

I look back, scared

And my worst fears realize

I hope you know how much I cared

And heaven, I idealize
