Hey guys! I'm back with my first shot at epic poetry. I have come up with an idea that I don't think has ever been done in poetry. As the poem goes on, try to guess what it is. It is an Ohotian epic poem with the working title Sons of Water. I'm posting as it is written, so be aware that I may replace content if I want to. (I'll warn you though).
I hope you enjoy! Oh... and my section titles are in Lemildian Ohotian (though don't think this takes place in that time period though!) Translations are given in parentheses.
Please R & R!
Meldon
Edopan e' Vrechi ("Sons of Water")
Al Sahel e'Mjusê ("The Invocation of the Muse")
Sing to me, Muse of old, traversed,
Far, you’ve been, heard there of Ohoto
Give me the adequate words to write
Charm my pen, that I might tell the tale:
Protelos’ heir in most everything, Radßà, who
Saved Exiles; Ohotian hero praised.
Al Frihel ("The Beginning")
“Create the sun, light for all, they’ll see how
much I love them someday,” so God spoke.
“Create the earth, sky, ocean; and now
The land and sea divide,” so God spoke.
“Create all life, plants and the beasts too,
fill all land, grow tall, yes,” so God spoke.
“Hail, Anjeln, my servants, all of you:
The Morningsky come, fly,” so God spoke.
“All Openearth run, yes run, All free,
you Deepsea, come, swim here,” so God spoke.
“Hail, Avatars, rise from earth, sky, sea
creation with spirit,” so God spoke.
“Hail, My elves, the star-watchers, Guided
by Anjeln, you fair ones,” so God spoke.
“Hail, dwarves, stout and Strong, I’ve provided
you riches from under,” so God spoke.
“Hail, humans, the Children of Races
you govern the globe Earth,” so God spoke.
“Sleep, my children, rest drowsy faces,
It’s holy on this day,” so God spoke.
