Running fast in no given direction.

Running to save a life, whether it be yours or someone else’s.

Running away from all the pain, hurt, and secrets.

Things you have kept inside you all these words, exploding inside you.

Pain flowing over your whole being.

On the run.

Just to be away.

Away from all the suffering.

On the run.

It doesn’t matter where, just to be away.

Away from the evils in your life.

Leaving behind more pain as you take each thudding step on the concrete.

Running to get away from your past; to completely detach yourself from anything that has happened before this present time.

To forget the evil,

Forget the terrors,

Forget the abusers,

Forget the pain,

Forget it all while,

On the run.

Nothing matters anymore, except taking that next step, thrusting your feet onto the concrete faster and faster.

Never to stop,

Never to remember all the pain.
