Under water

I,
the aquatic pilgrim-
my loins distilled in a fermentation drought-
have scoped and lensed
a fresh, shining, submerged carnivore-
sporadically spotted with frightened specks
and airy jaws clenched around
crimson colored memories-
adrift in the salty surf.
I,
The aquatic pioneer- performing
hypertension, high wire act
above toxic coral and the
inky canals of inevitable defeat-
now find myself idly treading
on the ocean floor-
bursting chemical born bubbles
beneath the masked moonlight
above.
