Spyglass

---

I see the world through a child's eyes

I think with an ignorant mind

When I search for ideal, nothing is real

A tangible truth, I cannot find.

I have not been gifted with common sense

Rationality I have seldom used

I see through a spyglass, and the forms as they pass

Are always distorted, confused.

The glass has curved to make a fairy tale land

And this is all I have ever seen

I try to convey, but no one else sees this way

Instead I am denied and demeaned.

I see the world around me as exalted and ideal

But everyone else seems to disagree

It seems I am spellbound, by the untrue forms I have found

In the spyglass through which I see.
