More Than Words

Don’t ever speak to me

I never want to hear the voice that spoke the horrible words

The hurt I felt and the pain it caused

Kiss the lips of the bloody rose

Don’t talk

Don’t try to explain

You can’t ever imagine

All the anger and the pain

I cringe at the sight of you

I vomit at the thought of you

I can’t stand the sound of your voice

And I don’t want to every think of you

It’s so exhausting

Keeping myself in control

You gloat as if what you said was amusing

Just wait till those words take their toll

Someday someone will go to far

Take your words straight to heart

How will you feel then?
