Iambic Pentameter - Iambic Pain

The poem which I’m meant to write on here,

Is much more difficult that what I though,

I understand the amount of syllables,

But it’s more complicated that first taught.

I do not understand what people mean,

Beats are different from syllables I’m told,

I do not see any logic in that fact,

I find this method to forced and to old.

I doubt I will ever understand this,

This method will forever confuse me,

I think this method confines the poem,

Poetry should be able to run free.
