Love is True

You don’t see what you put me through,

When our romance has so much debris,

Why am I convinced this love is true?

The hours together are so few,

And you I hardly ever see,

You don’t see what you put me through.

Every time I bid you adieu,

A piece of my heart is lost at sea.

Why am I convinced this love is true?

Every time my eyes are drawn to you,

My mind is always screaming to flee.

You don’t see what you put me through.

Yet I always seem to be drawn to you,

And around you I’m able to be me,

Why am I convinced this love is true?

When the hours together are far and few,

Yet I know your heart beats for me,

You don’t see what you put me through.

Why am I convinced this love is true?
