Love, like snow, can fade away

One doesn’t leave while the other stays.

Though both at times will create a peace

A blanket that covers everything complete.

Well certainly both are tried and true,

They just don’t last like things of permanence do.

Snow will melt and soak into the ground

Love will morph into excuses abound.

The mistake has been made involving snow

One has tried to make it last and not go

But it just doesn’t work like that my friend

The white cold ice melts away in the end.

Leaving behind just a trace of what was

That barren soggy waste that snow does.

And love, oh sweet love – it doesn’t last.

When sparks fly away, it doesn’t matter what time has passed.

Perhaps love, like snow, is never meant to be

Just some strange hope to some eternally.
