Chapter 1

She grabbed his arm, in the kind of way where you can just pull away. The kind of grab a 5-year-old girl would have. She ran after her Dad even down the road and didn’t stop until she fell. She went back home to her mom lying face down in the couch a bullet in her right temple, baby brother on the floor sobbing his voice out. She went to her room and cried herself to sleep. Her daddy left and her mommy is dead. Her daddy killed her mommy and the only hope of ever having a normal life.
