She has wild dreams

That are unlikely to come true

Pessimism runs through her thoughts

As she struggles to forge her future

People try to do so for her

But she declines

Swayed but not won over

She watches her family and friends

Soar among the stars

But she is unable to reach them

Pressured into making decisions

Time runs short

Two years become

Two months

Two weeks

Two days

Before she knows it

Its graduation

And life catches up
