Connection Lost

By E.B. Keane-Farrell

Her eyes gleam through the street

Connecting your heart to hers.

But it’s all lost,

Lost to a worthless cause.

- - -

Sorry, connection lost.

Did you read all I wrote?

I know your words aren’t just smoke.

There is no reason for you not to love;

But I suppose there’s a reason for every shove.

- - -

I can still feel your eyes burning with love

And your heart breaking without her.

Don’t be afraid to take her hand,

Enclose it within your own;

Let warmth reach you again.

- - -

Sorry, connection lost.

Did you read all I wrote?

I know your words aren’t just smoke.

There is no reason for you not to love;

But I suppose there’s a reason for every shove.

- - -

I can see her tears

And I know you can feel them.

Those pangs of love you feel are for her.

Don’t be afraid to let go of reason

And let your emotions show.

- - -

Sorry, connection lost.

Did you read all I wrote?

I know your words aren’t just smoke.

There is no reason for you not to love;

But I suppose there’s a reason for every shove.

- - -

Sorry, connection lost.

Did you read all I wrote?

I know your words aren’t just smoke.

There is no reason for you not to love;

But I suppose there’s a reason for every shove.

- - -

Don’t push her away,

Don’t try to forget your feelings.

Try to rekindle your connection.

Let loose to emotions.

Let loose to beauty.
