They say that bisexuality does not exist–
that one cannot love both
a man
Binding our love with the
strength,
foundation,
and connection of male and female interlocking like puzzle pieces.
I fall into the attraction of opposite
and feel safe as I lean against the boulder that is his chest.
I dive into his voice,
a calming deepness, like the sea,
that sings me into careless dreams of
being swayed and cradled in his arms
(he is my shield).
and a woman;
Binding our love with the
tenderness,
purity,
and relation to the giggles, beautification, and fragility of womanhood.
I fall into the familiarity of alikeness,
and she and I walk side-by-side, our hands grasped as one.
I soar with her voice,
a calming escape, like the butterfly,
that takes me to a place shaped like
the luscious curves and contours of her body
(she is my sword).
but how could they tell me otherwise
and deny me feelings
that they have never felt?
Because last time I checked,
I know who I am.
