Mistletoe

She carried some Mistletoe,

To school one day,

And gave out kisses

The people they sway.

To bring the cheer,

That Christmas carries,

And thoughts of Mother,

The Virgin Mary.

The day was bright,

Not at all like December,

But the joy she brought,

Would be remembered.

Back to her home,

In the forest’s loom,

In with a smile,

To disperse the gloom.

And all the past cobwebs

In the shadows whirled,

And dust became of,

That mistletoe girl.

A/N: A tribute to the ghost of christmas past.
