It wasn’t long before winter came,
This is where, my little lion, you became tame.
I put your favorite blanket at the end of my bed
I watched you put down your little head.
Unaware you shared your thoughts with me
The only thing I could not do was see.
I heard you complain with your muted roar
And I heard your delight with your purr that soared.
Silently your sounds and heat
Put me to sleep
My little lion you've made your first kill,
You've chased away the winter chills.
