Isn’t It Funny?

Isn’t it funny when you’re dreaming and think it’s real, because nothing about it is anything like how a dream ought to be? Yet despite how real the dream seems, you know it’s just that, a dream, and you’re all mixed up because you’re not sure how to treat it now – like a dream or like reality? So then you decide on which you’ll do, but it doesn’t matter, because you find that you have no control over yourself as you thought and are simply watching the dream like you watch TV, though you often come to think that perhaps you really are controlling the dream, like a video game? Of course you really are just watching it, as that’s the way dreams feel, but then you eventually come to wake from the dream. And once out of the dream, you find yourself asking a new question – isn’t it funny when you’re awake and think it’s still a dream, because nothing about it is anything like how reality ought to be? Isn’t that funny? Probably not, but it’s still something to think about when there’s nothing funny to laugh at.
